Acer palmatum Beni Hoshi (Ruby Stars)

A small upright Japanese maple with star-shaped leaves that open ruby red in spring, shift to green with red highlights in summer, and finish the year in brilliant golden-yellow and orange. Reaches about 1 m tall and 0.5 m wide after 10years. Best in morning sun with some afternoon shade for optimal color.
