Acer palmatum Tsuma Beni (Red Nails)

A charming small maple whose spring leaves are light green with purplish-red edges—resembling painted nails—that fade to solid green in summer before turning bright red in autumn.

Compact and upright, it reaches approximately 2 m tall and wide in 10 years. 

It performs best in morning sun and rich, well-drained soil. A subtly dramatic choice for both garden specimens and mixed borders.
