At The Maple Nursery, we strive to ensure your trees arrive healthy, safe, and on time. Below are the key details of our shipping process and policies:
Delivery Method
We partner with DPD to provide reliable and efficient delivery straight to your doorstep. With DPD’s network, you can trust that your order will be handled professionally and arrive in a timely manner.
To ensure your package reaches you safely, we recommend being available to receive it personally or arranging for a neighbor to accept it. Alternatively, you can redirect the delivery to a convenient DPD ParcelShop.
While DPD may sometimes offer the option to leave your package in a “safe place,” we advise against this for your own peace of mind. Choosing this option means delivery is at your own risk and we cannot guarantee the security of your order. In such cases, we cannot provide compensation for loss, theft, or damage.
The Maple Nursery cannot be held responsible for issues resulting from incorrect or incomplete address, email, or telephone information provided by the customer.
Pickup Option
If you live near Hasselt, Belgium, you can choose to pick up your order instead of having it shipped. This option can be selected during the checkout process.
Processing and Shipping Time
We process and ship orders within one week. Each tree is carefully selected to ensure it is healthy and visually appealing. We always choose the largest tree that fits securely in our shipping box and take great care to package your tree to prevent damage during transit.
Shipping Costs
Shipping trees safely can incur higher costs due to the specialized packaging required. The shipping fee is allocated as follows:
- 60% for carrier charges
- 35% for sturdy shipping boxes
- 5% for protective materials
To minimize costs, we can ship up to 10 trees per box, allowing you to maximize your order's value.
Shipping Destinations
We ship to many European countries. Please consult our website or contact us for information on specific destinations. In certain cases, your delivery address may be classified as a remote area, such as Madeira in Portugal. We aim to automatically include any applicable surcharges in our shipping rates, but this is not always feasible. In such situations, we reserve the right to adjust the shipping costs to reflect additional carrier charges. You may always cancel your order in full and receive a complete refund.
Delivery Issues
We work hard to ensure your order arrives in perfect condition, but we cannot take responsibility for delays. Contact us in case of damage or issues with delivery. If your package arrives damaged, please photograph the box and contents immediately and contact us so we can assist you further.
Seasonal Shipping Adjustments
Tree shipping is seasonal, as we aim to avoid extreme weather conditions that could harm the plants. Shipping timelines may be adjusted during particularly hot or cold periods.
