Acer palmatum Momoiro Koyasan

Momoiro Koyasan (“Peach-Colored Wild Mountain”) is described by Cor van Gelderen as the finest introduction from Dick van der Maat – and it’s hard to disagree.

Dick himself once explained that this maple is remarkable for its constant transformation, changing colour throughout the season.

In spring, the tree opens with peach-pink foliage, which gradually softens to light green, sometimes glowing with golden tones in summer. As the year progresses, the leaves shift once more, finishing with a spectacular show of vivid orange and red in autumn.
