Acer palmatum Jerre Schwartz

Jerre Schwartz is a variety with a witches' broom mutation. It has a dense, upright growth habit that can reach up to 2 meters in height and 1.5 meters in width.

Its leaves emerge as bright pink-red, fading to light green by mid-summer. The summer flush of new growth will be pink-red again, creating a nice contrast. In fall, the tree turns bright orange before losing its leaves and preparing for the next year.
