Acer shirasawanum Autumn Moon is a smaller tree that has amazing orange colours in spring. Depending on the degree of shade, the plants varies between green and heavy orange. Very deep shade, or full sun, can get out the orange. The leaves are typical shirasawanum leaves. This attractive tree was selected at Maplewood Nursery in 1978 and came in a batch of Aureum seedlings. It may reach up to 6m in height after 30 years.
