Indian Summer is a chance seedling from Acer japonicum 'Aconitifolium' and was selected for its exceptional autumn colors.
It emerges with pink-red leaves that turn dark green in summer. The new summer flushes are again pink-red, which contrast beautifully with the larger, darker leaves.
In fall, it lights up again with beautiful orange and yellow colors.
