Acer palmatum Seiun kaku (“Blue-Green Palace in the Clouds”): a compact upright Japanese maple with layered, roof-tile foliage that emerges chartreuse-green in spring, deepens to green through summer, and finishes with a radiant red fall display.

Grows to about 1.5 m tall in 10 years. Thrives in sun to part shade with well-drained soil, ideal as a standout specimen in small gardens or containers.
