Acer palmatum Sango Kaku Van Der Maat

A stately upright Japanese maple with coral-red bark that steals the scene in winter and spring. Leaves open pale yellow, turn soft green in summer, and shift to warm yellow and light red in autumn.

Introduced by Dick van der Maat, claiming an improved selection on Sangu Kaku.
